TV presenter Ben Fogle has partnered with the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) to launch the Wildlife Champions fundraising scheme.

The scheme will allow wildlife fans to choose an area of ZSL's conservation work they feel passionately about, and to donate £3 a month to be spent specifically on projects in that area. Fogle commented 'It's a horrifying statistic that in the last 40 years our wildlife populations around the planet have declined on average by 50%. If we carry on like this in another 40 years we'll have nothing left... The work of ZSL is so important in securing a future for wildlife, and ensuring that our younger generations will be able to appreciate the beauty and wonder of animals, and understand how important they are to the planet'.
